Fire resistance. Storage cabinets shall be designed and constructed to limit the internal temperature to not more than 325 °F. when subjected to a 10-minute fire test using the standard time-temperature curve as set forth in Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, NFPA 251-1969, which is incorporated by reference as specified in § 1910.6. All joints and seams shall remain tight and the door shall remain securely closed during the fire test. Cabinets shall be labeled in conspicuous lettering, “Flammable - Keep Fire Away.”

Sure-Grip® EX-kasten, ontworpen om te voldoen aan de OSHA- en NFPA 30-normen, zijn gemaakt van stevig, dubbelwandig, gelast staal van 1 mm dik met 38 mm isolerende luchtruimte voor brandwerendheid. Hoogwaardige, zelfvergrendelende deuren sluiten gemakkelijk en veilig voor maximale bescherming bij brand. Het faalveilige sluitmechanisme zorgt ervoor dat het driepunts roestvrijstalen kogelvergrendelingssysteem elke keer werkt. Voor extra veiligheid wordt de U-Loc™ handgreep geleverd met een cilinderslot en sleutelset of accepteert een optioneel hangslot. Haz-Alert™ reflecterende waarschuwingslabels zijn goed zichtbaar onder brandomstandigheden of tijdens stroomuitval wanneer ze verlicht worden met een zaklamp. Gepatenteerde SpillSlope®-legborden van gegalvaniseerd staal leiden gemorste stoffen naar de achterkant en onderkant van de lekvrije opvangbak van 51 mm. Ze passen zich aan tot 76 mm midden voor veelzijdige opslag. Double wall construction provides fire resistance
The cabinet's sturdy steel double-wall construction consists of two 1mm thick walls and a 38mm insulating air space in between. The air gap helps prevent the temperature inside the cabinet from rising in the event of a fire, protecting the stored hazardous materials and allowing enough time for personnel to evacuate.

Dual vents allow ventilation inside the cabinet
The cabinets feature dual vents with stainless steel fire arresters that allow ventilation inside the cabinet and prevent the release of potential VOCs. Additionally, the stainless steel fire arresters prevent flashback ignition in the event of a fire.

Adjustable shelves direct spills to the back and bottom of the cabinet
The patented SpillSlope® galvanized steel shelves will direct any potential spills to the back and bottom of the cabinet, away from personnel, and into the leakproof sump. The frames are adjustable to match the needs of every workspace. Additional shelves are available.

Does my safety cabinet need to be grounded?
It is necessary to ground a safety cabinet if you are dispensing liquids from container(s) inside the cabinet, and the potential of an ignitable vapor is possible.
