Fire resistance. Storage cabinets shall be designed and constructed to limit the internal temperature to not more than 325 °F. when subjected to a 10-minute fire test using the standard time-temperature curve as set forth in Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, NFPA 251-1969, which is incorporated by reference as specified in § 1910.6. All joints and seams shall remain tight and the door shall remain securely closed during the fire test. Cabinets shall be labeled in conspicuous lettering, “Flammable - Keep Fire Away.”

Die Sure-Grip® EX-Schränke entsprechen den Normen OSHA und NFPA 30 und bestehen aus robustem, doppelwandigem, geschweißtem Stahl mit 38 mm isolierendem Luftraum für Feuerbeständigkeit. Leistungsstarke, selbsteinrastende Türen lassen sich leicht und sicher schließen und bieten so maximalen Schutz unter Brandbedingungen. Der ausfallsichere Schließmechanismus sorgt dafür, dass das Drei-Punkt-Edelstahl-Verriegelungssystem jedes Mal funktioniert. Für zusätzliche Sicherheit wird der U-Loc™-Griff mit einem Zylinderschloss und einem Schlüsselsatz geliefert oder es kann ein optionales Vorhängeschloss verwendet werden. Die reflektierenden Warnschilder sind unter Brandbedingungen oder bei Stromausfällen gut sichtbar, wenn sie mit einer Taschenlampe angeleuchtet werden. Patentierte verzinkte SpillSlope®-Stahlböden leiten Verschüttungen in den hinteren und unteren Bereich eines auslaufsicheren 51-mm-Auffangbehälters. Sie können für eine vielseitige Aufbewahrung auf 76 mm Mittelhöhe eingestellt werden. Die Schränke verfügen außerdem über zwei Lüftungsöffnungen mit Flammensperren, vier einstellbare selbstnivellierende Füße, einen Erdungsanschluss und ein dreisprachiges Warnschild. Die langlebige bleifreie Epoxid-/Polyester-Pulverbeschichtung bietet eine ausgezeichnete chemische Beständigkeit. Diese Schränke sind FM-zugelassen und verfügen über eine 10-Jahres-Garantie. Double wall construction provides fire resistance
The cabinet's sturdy steel double-wall construction consists of two 1mm thick walls and a 38mm insulating air space in between. The air gap helps prevent the temperature inside the cabinet from rising in the event of a fire, protecting the stored hazardous materials and allowing enough time for personnel to evacuate.

Dual vents allow ventilation inside the cabinet
The cabinets feature dual vents with stainless steel fire arresters that allow ventilation inside the cabinet and prevent the release of potential VOCs. Additionally, the stainless steel fire arresters prevent flashback ignition in the event of a fire.

Adjustable shelves direct spills to the back and bottom of the cabinet

Does my safety cabinet need to be grounded?
It is necessary to ground a safety cabinet if you are dispensing liquids from container(s) inside the cabinet, and the potential of an ignitable vapor is possible. This is not to preclude one from grounding all cabinets as a best practice. Please see our TechTALK on Safety Cabinet Grounding for further information.
